Jared & Michaela met at some point during fall of 2013 at Missouri Southern State University. They had their first class together that spring; Microbiology. When Michaela walked in she sat in front of Jared and he said “Hey Michaela,” and her stomach dropped…she couldn’t remember his name! But it was meant to be because they became friends anyway, and both knew early on in their relationship that they had met the love of their life.
These two are seriously so sweet and kind, both to each other and to everyone around them. It was obvious to me that they are a lot of fun, are ready to face any adventure together, and care very deeply about each other. They also care about those around them; Jared works in the student ministry and Michaela is in school to become a physical therapist. When I asked what was important to them about their wedding day, Jared said “We hope there is joy felt in every individual present as they join us at our wedding. We hope they feel like they are apart of the story of Jared and Michaela.”
For their engagement session we wanted to find a location that was simple and might give us a chance for a little of adventure. We walked through the woods, wandered into a field, and even waded into a river. Jared & Michaela were a joy to photograph 🙂
Jared & Michaela are getting married next May at Belvoir Winery! I’m so excited to be back at this venue with all of the amazing renovations they’ve been doing…it’s going to be such a great day 🙂
