Nate & Caitlyn met because they were in the same applied math class at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in their first semester of graduate school. He knew she must be smart to be in that class, and boy was he right. These two are probably two of the smartest people I know, with a Doctorate in Physics and Mathematics, respectively. But that means they are so perfect for each other! They love adventuring and trying new things together; everything from attending roller derby bouts, to taking swing dancing lessons, to trying every flavor of mead! But I think my favorite thing about these two, in their words, “Caitlyn is a country girl from New York and Nate is a city slicker from Nebraska.”
We chose to do their engagement session in Lincoln, where they met and fell in love. They spent many evenings walking around the Sunken Gardens together, so they thought this would be a perfect place to start off their session. We then headed to the UNL campus, where as graduate students, they spent quite a bit of time over the years since they met. I had so much fun laughing with these two, and enjoying a beautiful Nebraska summer evening together <3
I am so excited to photograph their wedding in upstate New York next June at the Wilderness Bed & Breakfast!! It’s going to be an amazing and beautiful day with dear friends and family, and I cannot wait 🙂
