Derrick and Hope wanted to have a chill wedding day. They weren’t concerned about being very traditional, they just wanted to enjoy their wedding day with their favorite people, and everyone celebrating together! They chose to celebrate their love at The Montgomery Event Venue in Excelsior Springs. After getting ready at the venue, a first look, and portraits around the venue, they had a short but special ceremony on the stage in front of a gorgeous alter. After more portraits around downtown, we headed back to the venue for a taco bar and dancing! Derek with Levity Events hosted a great party and it was a blast! Before heading out for the night, I caught up with the groom and his guys celebrating with cigars, and enjoying the night air. I think these two achieved their goal of being able to really enjoy their wedding day with their loved ones!
