Justin & Haylee had one of those whirlwind international romances…it just so happened to be that they were originally both from Kansas City!  They were studying abroad in Italy (!!) with the same college group, and met on the plane ride.  They spent the semester biking through small Italian towns, relaxing in the sun on a hill in Vienna, and even had their first kiss in Rome.  Their initial friendship grew to be so much more than that, and they dreamed of starting their lives together back in Kansas City.

 

When I asked Justin & Haylee where they wanted to do their engagement session, they immediately said The Nelson (because that is where Justin proposed).  I love shooting at The Nelson and was absolutely on board; it felt like the right location to honor their proposal, as well as the same romantic backdrop in which they fell in love!
