When talking about the plan for their engagement session, I tell couples that it doesn’t just have to be pretty pictures in a pretty location.  I want them to spend an evening enjoying each other’s company, and that can happen doing something they enjoy together.  In other words, I date night that I just tag along for.  When I started talking to Mitchell & Montana about their engagement session, they totally latched onto this idea!  They wanted to do their session at the Boulevard Brewing Co.’s Beer Hall, where they could hang out, and enjoy some great beer together.  I was SO excited about this idea because I love the Beer Hall, and think it was designed so beautifully that it makes for a great location!  After these two enjoyed a couple of beers and lots of laughs together, we finished off their session at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts and overlooking the lights of KC.  If you look hard enough, you can even see the lights of Boulevard in their silhouette so the session really came full circle.  I had such a blast laughing with these two during their session, and I cannot wait to photograph them on their big day!

 

 

Mitchel & Montana will be tying the knot in May at The Aspen Room at The Stanley Event Space and I’m so excited to be a part of their day 🙂
