It's me! My last name is Spencer. I am the main photographer, owner, and operator of the studio. The studio is called Spencer STUDIOS because I specialize in two very different types of photography; weddings and boudoir. Also, I just loved the alliteration.
Not really. I have decided to specialize in weddings and boudoir because they are the two types of photography that I'm most passionate about. Only photographing things that I love is better for me, and in turn better for my clients. I am able to give my all for every client because I am excited about every session, and every event. I cannot wait for all of my engagement sessions. I give my all for every wedding. I foster relationships will all of my clients. I'm only able to do this because I truly love everything I photograph.
Honestly, I have a love/hate relationship with Pinterest. For weddings, I believe that it can stifle creativity and create unrealistic expectations in my brides. I can't recreate that beautiful sunset image at noon, no matter how hard I try. What I do think Pinterest is good for, is to create mood boards. You can create a board to collect images you like for style, lighting, etc and it will help you better find a photographer that matches those characteristics. I also love to get my boudoir ladies to check out all sorts of boudoir images, so we can make a plan for her session. Overall, Pinterest is better for mood boards, not as great for shot lists.
Nope! I graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a bachelors in Journalism and Mass Communications, with majors in Advertising/PR and Psychology. However, I'm always furthering my education in photography by attending conferences, taking workshops, and working with other awesome photographers. And, I've always believed that you get better at being a photographer by spending time behind your camera :)
