Henry & Melinda | Kansas Winter Wedding

February 4, 2021

The beginning of Henry & Melinda’s wedding day began at Melinda’s grandparent’s home. It made for a perfect backdrop, full of vintage family photos, a tree swing, and a beautiful wrap around porch. After hair & make-up was finished, Melinda, with the help of her mom, got dressed in her grandparent’s sitting room. She then headed down to the porch for her first look with Henry. Grandma got a bit emotional, watching her lovely granddaughter with her soon to be husband; it was so sweet!! We stayed on the property for a handful of photos before heading to the church for the ceremony. After their I DOs (and a shared root beer float) Henry and Melinda got showered by lavender on their way to their getaway car!

Once we got to the reception location, I took them across the street to catch the last few minutes of sunset. Winter light isn’t as golden as summer light, but these two got lucky with a gorgeous sunset! We then headed into their reception hall for the party! Henry & Melinda surprised their guests with a choreographed dance full of lifts, and laughs. They had one heck of a fun party and danced the night away with their favorite people.

I also had a blast doing Henry & Melinda’s engagement session at one of their favorite parks that they love enjoying together, and you can check that out HERE.
